| Library Friends are a growing group of public spirited citizens and businesses dedicated to the advancement of the Nazareth Memorial Library. Would you like to become a Friend?
What do the Friends do?
- We engage in fund raisers, such as the Used Book Sale and Kids Karnival, as well as organizing tours, trips, lectures, and book sales...
- We purchase reference works, books-on-tape, videos and special request fiction and children's books...
- We sponsor speakers for educational and entertaining programs for adults and children...
- We assist the Library staff in purchasing and constructing shelves, creating specialized work areas, building distinctive reference collections...
- We cooperate with the staff and volunteers during special programs and projects...
- The Friends are a charitable, non-profit organization. Any contributions to our organization are tax deductible...
Why does the Library need Friends?
The Friends assist the Library in such areas as:
- focusing public and legislative attention on the Library...
- encouraging gifts and bequests, both monetary and material...
- support in developing facilities and services for our community...
- stimulating the use of the Library's resources and services...
- purchasing equipment not covered by budget, such as microfiche readers and PCs for public use...
What benefits do members get?
- Members receive our quarterly newsletter keeping you informed of the goals and accomplishments of the organization as well as notices of upcoming events and library news.
- Members are admitted to special previews of our biennial Used Book Sales and can purchase books before the sale!
- Members receive a coupon for free books at our Book Sales.
