FAQs

Why are you holding Touch-a-Truck Festival?

Touch-a-Truck Festival is a fabulous, fun experience for the entire community!  It is also the library’s largest annual fundraiser and part of our PA Forward Civic and Social Literacy programming efforts.

Why is Touch a Truck now called Touch-a-Truck Festival?

Touch-a-Truck Festival is more than just trucks. Numerous types of vehicles will be on display as well as a variety of features such as a craft pavilion, food trucks, and much more. The Touch-a-Truck Festival has experienced tremendous success for more than a decade and is always changing to meet the diverse needs and interests of our entire community. Check back often to see new features as they are added!

What will you do with the money raised from Touch-a-Truck Festival?

All proceeds from this event are dedicated to supporting the mission of the library:  “To inspire and enrich the lives of the residents in our supporting municipalities by offering valuable lifetime literacies and a community centric service approach.”

How long does the Touch-a-Truck Festival experience take?

You are invited to spend as long as you’d like exploring the trucks and activities on the recreation fields between 10:00am and 2:00pm.  We are hoping to have close to 100 vehicles and numerous other features and activities, including the addition of local food trucks.

How will my child “explore” the trucks?

Children will be able to see the vehicles, trucks, and equipment up close.  We encourage you allow your children to climb up into vehicles and talk to the drivers!

Will bathrooms be available?

Yes, bathrooms are located in the snack stand towards the middle of the recreation fields.

Will handicapped parking be available?

Yes. There will be a handicapped parking area close to the event entrance and clearly marked.

Can I bring a stroller?

Absolutely.  The event is held outdoors.

How much is a ticket?

$5 for one ticket OR $20 for a family pack of five tickets.

Note: Family packs will not be available to purchase day-of.

Pick-up any tickets previously purchased online at the will call tent day-of.

What is included in a ticket purchase?

Ticket purchase allows for entrance of one person to the event (children under the age of two are free). Buy tickets at the event, or pick up previously purchased tickets at the will call tent day-of.

When and where can I purchase a ticket?

You can purchase tickets at the festival entry or at the Firehouse Lane parking lot entrance.

Please pick-up online ticket purchases at the library before the day of the event. All others must pick-up tickets at the event the day-of.

What kinds of payment do you accept?

Tickets can be purchased with cash, a check, or a credit card.

Did the event location move?

The event is being held at 1114 Bushkill Center Road, Nazareth, PA 18064. Touch-a-Truck Festival was held at the same location in 2021, 2022, and 2023 but has been held at other locations in previous years.

Will food and drink be available for purchase?

Yes! We are working to secure the most sought-after food trucks in the Lehigh Valley to offer numerous options for food and drink purchases. Click HERE for our up-to-date list of 2024 vendors.

Is the event rain or shine?

Yes.

Are there seats or will I need to stand? How much walking is involved?

Touch-a-Truck Festival invites attendees to explore on foot. Attendees are invited to walk as much as they would like to see all the trucks and activities. We are working to have a covered space and some seating for crafts and enjoying the various food and beverage options or to just sit and relax. Feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket and spend the day!

My plans have changed. Is my ticket refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable. If your plans change and you are no longer able to attend, please consider donating your tickets to our “Families in Need” initiative which will provide a limited number of complimentary tickets to attend free of charge. To donate your tickets, please contact Holly Bennett at [email protected].

Is this event just for children? Or just for boys?

Touch-a-Truck Festival is a great event regardless of age or gender!  Our volunteer coordinators work to include something for everyone.  Families, couples, teens, car and truck enthusiasts—all are welcome and will enjoy the day.
