Pet Parade
The Nazareth Library Pet Parade is an annual fundraiser that takes place on a Saturday, May 31st, 2025. Patrons can register to bring their pets to march in the parade and be judged to win awesome, pet-themed prizes! Don’t have a pet? No problem! You can register with a stuffed animal to support the library, or come out and watch the parade the day of to show your support for some amazing animals!
All proceeds benefit the Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity.
Parade Details
Registration
Participants may register for the pet parade at a fee of $25 per pet/animal through parade day. Cash, check, and credit card are accepted. Simply fill out a form (one per pet/animal) and submit your payment via ONE of the two options below:

Then, mail or bring your completed form(s) to the Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity along with your payment(s).
Credit Card:
Fill out a Google form (available soon) and follow the instructions there to submit payment via our secure online checkout.
Event Details and Participant Perks
The Parade will be held Saturday, May 31st, 2025 at 10:00 am. This event is rain or shine, so bring an umbrella! The parade will start at Veteran’s Memorial Square at Green St. and W. Center St.
All participants must arrive at the start point between 9:15am and 9:45am that day to be lined up.
Participants may register for the pet parade through parade day. Registrants will receive other merchandise and information provided by sponsors. These items can be picked up at the Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity before the parade.

Each registered pet will receive a number that should be worn the day of the parade. Numbers must be displayed prominently, as judges will award various prizes to pets during the parade.
The parade route will begin at the Borough Council Chambers, wrap around the Circle, and end at the Library.

Parade Rules
• All pets must be on a leash, or otherwise contained, at all times.
• Pet must have current vaccinations.
• No aggressive animals are permitted. Pets must be sociable with other animals, adults, and children.
• Pets must be comfortable in a loud and festive environment.
• Courtesy is appreciated. Be prepared to clean up after your pet.
• If you do not have a pet, you are welcome to register your favorite stuffed animal!
• Each pet must be accompanied by an owner/handler 16 years of age or older; the owner/handler is the main person responsible for controlling the pet in the parade. Other family members are welcome and encouraged to accompany the pet as well.
• If you want your pet to be judged for awards, you must prominently display the number given to you at t-shirt distribution.
• The pet parade contest categories include the following: Best fed, Largest pet, Smallest pet, Best owner/pet costume combo, Most unusual pet, Best pet float (Only non-motorized floats are permitted: decorated wagons, strollers kiddie cars, bicycles, etc.), and Star of the show (Judge’s choice).
