Veterans Day Collection
To honor veterans and celebrate Veterans Day, the library collects items for veterans at Gracedale Nursing Home each year during October. Please bring your items to the library. Thank you!
What We Accept
All items, including clothes, must be new and not expired.
No bar soap, hotel toiletries, or items not on the list, please.
Items requested:
Boxer briefs – L, XL, 2XL
T-shirts – L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL
Sweatshirts – L, XL, 2XL, 3XL,
Zip-up Hooded sweatshirts – L, XL, 2XL, 3XL
Slippers w/ sturdy bases and good tread
Socks
Shower gel
Shampoo
Deodorant/Body Spray
Skin moisturizer
Word search books – large print preferred
Checker sets / board games
Markers for art projects
Coloring books
Gift cards for Walmart or the Dollar Tree $10 or $25
Who We Donate To
We are proud to partner with Gracedale Nursing Home to provide resources to local veterans in their care. Gracedale is a skilled nursing facility that serves the medically challenged and financially indigent residents of Northampton County and surrounding communities. The mission of the facility is to rehabilitate its residents to their highest practical level of medical, social, and psychological well-being.
