Teen Advisory Board

The Teen Advisory Board is a forum where teens from the local middle and high schools discuss library-related issues, plan events and service projects, and offer suggestions to improve library teen collections.

To join the board, teens must be ages 12-18, be able to attend a majority of meetings per session, and be willing to bring their thoughts and ideas about improving the library and planning fun events to each meeting! Teens must also be respectful and be willing to offer constructive and insightful input on other ideas. We are going to work together plan fun events and projects that everyone can enjoy!

TAB members can receive volunteer hours for time spent at meetings and working events. TAB members must have an active MLNV library card. Members will be making creative and financial decisions regarding teen collections and events at the library, so bring your A-game!

Projects for the Winter 2024 include decorating the library Teen Room for the Nightmare Before Christmas!

TAB currently meets most Thursdays at 6pm at the library, 3pm in June. July, and August.
